This Privacy Policy describes how Axon ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and handles your information when you use the Axon app and website.
Account information. Axon uses Sign in with Apple to create your account. We receive a unique Apple user identifier and an email address (which may be an Apple private-relay address). You may optionally provide a display name/username and a contact email.
Learning activity. When you use the app we store your learning progress — lessons and projects completed, achievements, streaks, experience points (XP), and unlocked items — linked to your account so we can sync it across your devices and restore it if you reinstall.
Subscription and purchase data. If you subscribe to Axon Pro in the iOS app, your purchase is processed by Apple. Web purchases use RevenueCat and Stripe, including supported card and digital-wallet payment methods. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and validate your purchase. If you buy on the web before creating an account, we store the normalized checkout email and verified purchase record so Pro can later be added to an account with the same verified email. We do not receive or store your full payment card details.
Usage and analytics data. We use PostHog, a product-analytics service, to understand how the app is used so we can improve it. This includes events such as lessons started and completed, exercises answered, screens and paywalls viewed, and in-app purchase activity, together with device and app information (device model, operating system, app version, language, and region) and a pseudonymous identifier linked to your account. PostHog also derives an approximate location (such as city or country) from your IP address. This information is processed on PostHog's servers in the United States and is used only to operate and improve Axon.
Web checkout analytics. We store paywall views, plan selections, checkout outcomes, and access-verification events in our Supabase database, linked to your account. These records include an event identifier, time, entry category, billing period, and restoration result where applicable. They help us find and fix checkout problems. They do not include your name, email, card details, or raw payment errors, and are deleted when your account is deleted. We also use Vercel Web Analytics for website traffic measurement.
Optional website advertising measurement. If you choose “Accept all” or enable “Advertising measurement” in Privacy preferences, we load the Meta Pixel to understand which Facebook and Instagram ads bring people to Axon. It sends page visits, completed account setup, lesson completions, and App Store button clicks, along with page URLs, referrer information, cookie identifiers (including _fbp and, where applicable, _fbc), IP address, and browser/device information. An App Store button click is not proof of an app install. We do not intentionally send your name, email, account ID, lesson answers, or payment details through these events. Automatic advanced matching and inferred event collection are disabled.
Meta may match this information with its own records and use it for measurement, advertising, and personalization of ads and other experiences under its Privacy Policy. This can involve information about activity across websites and may be considered “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising under some US state privacy laws. We do not sell personal information for money or rent it. This optional Pixel is for our website; it does not add Meta tracking to the iOS app.
The Meta Pixel does not load before you opt in. Choose “Reject optional” to keep it off. You can change your preference at any time using “Privacy preferences” under Settings → Privacy in the web app, or the “Privacy preferences” button on our public pages. Refusing does not affect your access to Axon. We honor Global Privacy Control by keeping this advertising measurement off even if you previously opted in. Your choice is stored in this browser; other browsers and devices have separate choices. Clearing browser storage resets the choice to no tracking until a new opt-in.
Withdrawing consent stops future Pixel measurement in this browser, clears our first-party Meta cookies, and reloads the page to unload the Pixel. It does not undo information already sent to Meta or delete cookies on Meta’s own domains. You can manage information Meta holds through its Privacy Center. Contact us below for privacy-rights requests, including access, deletion, correction, or opting out of advertising sharing.
If you choose a username, your username and XP may be displayed publicly on in-app leaderboards alongside other learners. Do not use a username you wish to keep private.
We use your information to authenticate you, save and sync your progress, provide subscription features, display leaderboards, and improve the product. With your permission, we also use website advertising measurement as described above. We disclose information to the providers and advertising partner listed below for these purposes.
We retain your information for as long as your account is active. Purchase records may also be retained before account creation so we can confirm access, send a private recovery link, and add Pro to a later account with the same verified email. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete account), or by emailing us at contact@axonlearn.app. Deleting your account permanently removes your progress and profile.
Axon is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time and will post changes on this page with an updated date.
